Evan still hasn't moved on. The death of Connor Murphy was enough to tip him over. Or was it? Evan claims he doesn't want anything to do with things that remind him of Connor. But why push those away? It's been 2 years. Year one was the worst. The only reason Evan is still alive is because he's terrified of self harm. Just because of what happened to Connor. Evan can't stand it, he can't stare at a knife or even a razor for very long without breaking down into tears. Year two was slightly better. Evan wasn't as depressed as year one. Jared was helping him cope with Connor's death. Evan did space out a lot, or even cry over something that's not even sad. I guess you could say he was like a girl on her period. Some days happy, others, pretty upset. Currently, Evan has a job, Jared's in college and they both live together. What happens when one event leads to another, and Jared finds something that might help this case. Something pretty important... Evan Hansen had always had such a constant stutter and such a bad stammer that he hated it. He hated the slight lisp, the mispronounciations, the speech therapy he went into, so one day, he just stopped. He stopped talking. He learned simple sign language phrases to help him, and what he couldn't sign, he wrote down. But, nobody really tried to talk to him anyway, so he thought it didn't matter. Connor Murphy seemed to be one of the only people who didn't mind Evan not talking. Actually, he seemed to be the only one who was accepting of Evan. Nobody needed to talk to communicate, and he kept that in mind as he talked to Evan, and as Evan signed or wrote back to him. November '18 rated: #2 in #treebros
