Filipina-English self-proclaimed tomboy, Joe McCarthy moves to Ilkley, West Yorkshire, England and starts adjusting to a new life. She gets sent to Grace Randolph Boarding School, a co-educational Boarding School on the countryside where she befriends a few people, but feels awkward around them. She felt even more awkward around her classmates, especially the boys since she studied in an all-girls school back in the Philippines. She later meets and befriends the school's prefect from her year, Luke Taylor. They enjoy each other's company and as time went by, they change each other's worlds.
