Always cheerful, Kellin is more than happy to enter his Junior year. Indeed, he'll be able to join a famous swimming club at his school: the Swordfish Club. But things won't go smoothly for him. At his first training, his new bossy trainer, Vic, says he can't stay on the team because he doesn't have the skills for it. In order to stay, Kellin will have to take extra lessons with none other than the disgruntled trainer.

Vic Fuentes can't help that he'd do anything for his best friend, Kellin. Even if it meant pretending to date him so that he could earn a little extra money. Which is how he found himself stuck in the O'Connor-Diamandis program. This program conducts social experiments on couples and compensates them every week with money. Which is fine, right? Vic and Kellin aren't really a couple so they shouldn't have any problem getting through a few hardships. Except what the program fails to explain is that they intend to take the couples to the next level, by putting them in more and more heated conditions. The couple that eventually manages to stick together after all that time will win a prize, but they've planned for everyone to break up by week 4. Even if they are just best friends after all.

It kind of started with a picture » Vic Fuentes, in the age of 17, instantly sparked intrest in the media; mainly on one of the most popular social media app, Instagram. In no time he became well known to most people and was quick to become certified. Kellin Quinn, in the age of 16, was one of Vic's followers who would, I guess the word to describe this is "obsess" about Vic-along with his (Kellin's) friend, Chloe Simmons. While moping around with the app and checking through the "post you may like" section of Instagram, Vic took notice of the raven-haired boy and also take a liking in him too.
