*Sequel to An Unexpected Journey* She could scale the walls sharper and quicker than any savior; like rivers and ferocity: she built her silence. They asked about her wings - she built them to fight: definite lonesome, no fear, no absolution. No blackened hearts; no good-for-nothing promises. Leave a girl to face the sleet, and she'll adapt to the chill of the snow. - A.M. Adapt, Evolve, Become Tell me the story of that resourceful man who was driven to wander far and wide; that screwed-up soul who reckoned a world full of strangers. The prodigal made in and out of iron, a kind that burns and brands your skin and bones; he blunts you: do not call him by name (for he never particularily liked himself, and therefore neither his name). So you call him a moses for the new saga, the lord whose kingdom never showed. In truth: there's a man who sits about the bar, with a growl like he's got a kid at home, but there's no home anymore. The empty-souled bison-man with a God for a father - with a haunt for nephews; you collapse and you stare, and he's fallen away before the moon is gone. A promise: alcohol smells like divine hilarity; sometimes you can hear the words in your skull, when your mind is dark and you remember that people are tragedies. Dwarves are pitiful Gods. - A.M. This is part one of a planned three part series. By chance, Kathryn Coulson finds herself on the Helicarrier with no memory of her past and a terrible fear of Chitauri that goes beyond all imagining. As if that weren't enough, the young elemental finds herself haunted every night by the man she used to love and who cast her to Midgard in the first place. He shows her her past in all its grotesque horror. The two fall in love again, but a huge misunderstanding sends Loki back to Asgard in a rage. Hurt and confused, Kathryn agrees to marry her best friend on the grounds that it's the smartest decision to make. But she, and none of the Avengers in fact, counted on Loki's rage to follow her. With Loki off amassing an army of Chitauri one billion strong, Kathryn must ask herself what is more important: the man she loves with her entire being or the lives and freedom of every single person on Earth. Please note I do not in any way own the avengers or any marvel characters listed in this story
