Life when you're young is amazing! You get to live it the way you want to and no one tells you what to do. When you think of a happy life like that, you think nothing going wrong with you as in sicknesses. Well, life isn't like that for seventeen year old Tommy Joe Ratliff who has been battling with lung cancer when he was fourteen years old. He got an eating disorder and he started cutting when people made fun of him. He already has enough with bullies making fun of him for being gay and now that he has cancer, he knows his days are counted. Adam Lambert is your normal seventeen year old gay boy who lives in California with his parents and brother. He's dating eighteen year old Sauli Koskinen at the moment, but that's when his eyes fall on young Tommy. Adam and Tommy have feelings for each other, and Sauli knows it. The whole school knows Tommy has cancer and Sauli wants to use that as a way to split them up. Tommy knows his days are counted, and so does Adam, but they can't stand the thought of losing each other. What will happen with Tommy? Will he survive the battle or will he leave everyone behind? Tommy's eyes opened and he sat up in the bed with a gasp, looking frantically around the room. I stood up quickly from the chair I was in and gently placed my hand on his shoulder in an attempt to calm him down, but he flinched at my touch and pulled away, looking up at me fearfully. "W-Who are you?" He asked. "W-Where am I?" "Just relax." I said softly. "My name is Adam. You're in my home. You're safe." "W-Why am I here?" He asked. "W-What happened?" "I saved your life." I told him calmly. "There were some men after you. They would've killed you had I not been there." "How do you know they were going to kill me?" He asked, a little calmer now, but I could hear his heart racing in his chest, so I knew he was still afraid. "I could hear them talking about how they would kill you as they were looking for you." I said. "I would have gotten you away sooner, but they found you before I could get a chance. So I followed them as they took you deep into the woods, then I made my move." He looked a bit confused. "What happened to them?" He asked me after hesitating for a moment. "Don't worry, I took care of them." I reassured him. "They won't be able to hurt you again." He nodded. "Thank you." He said quietly. "For saving me. My name is Tommy." I smiled at him. "It's nice to meet you Tommy." I said, placing my hand on his shoulder again, only to have him flinch and pull away again. "I'm not going to hurt you. You don't need to be afraid of me." "It's not that." He said softly, looking down at his lap. "What is it then?" I asked, although I knew what he was going to say. I had forgotten he would feel the coolness of my skin. Dammit! "Y-Your skin." He said, looking afraid again. "It's ice cold. Y-You're a vampire." ........ I'll leave the rest of the synopsis out as a surprise, kind of like a find out as you read thing, because it keeps deleting itself. 🙄 Also, it takes place in the 1400s, but it will have a modern twist.
