Es el año 3051, donde no hay Autobots, Optimus esta "retirado" de pelear. El mundo no ha sido el mismo desde WW3 (Tercera Guerra Mundial o World War 3). Casi no hay humanos el la Tierra por la WW3 y la apocalipsis esta por llegar. Optimus y Ratchet son los únicos Autobots que quedan en el planeta, o eso creían hasta que encontraron la youngling(hija) de Bumble Bee (y Bee esta muerto ...... perdón Bumble Bee fans ). Optimus debe llenarse de valor y pelear una última vez contra los Cons.
