Reid has been homeless on the streets of New York for years now, fighting for cash in clubs and sleeping in empty buildings. When Sam meets Reid on the subway, she has a hard time forgetting about him, and not only because he keeps showing up in the least likely of places. Ellice Pedersen is a troubled young girl. She feels disjointed from her life in the white picket fences of suburbia, as if she is not meant to be a part of it, the only time she feels true emotion is when she does unspeakable acts, things that would make anyone turn tail and run. To embark upon the path were she can feel anything is to do what mustn't be done. But when she digs too deep she become entangled in a world far more real and far more dangerous than her own. When her old life starts to unravel she can't help herself from pulling and pulling till it unravels completely.
