Naomi meets Levi at her favorite place in the world, the Library. He also just so happens to be going to the same school as her. While they get along well, there's one thing that builds a wall between them. Naomi is religious, Levi isn't. Naomi goes through a battle of feelings that keep bubbling inside of her towards a guy that doesn't love the love of her life; Jesus. While Naomi tries to resist anything that has to do with Levi, The Lord helps her think otherwise. God makes her realize that reaching out and helping those that don't know Jesus is better than pushing them away and out of her life. "Hey Mark!" I said, walking to the stage. I walked up the stairs carefully. After all, I was wearing wedges and preferred to stay out out the hospital. "Hey Macie," he replied. "Could you get the songs on the stands for me?" "Sure," I said, taking the two folders out of his backpack. I opened each one and had started placing the music on the stands when I heard the door open. I expected it to be either Carly, Denver or Amanda, but when I turned around, I saw that it was my mother. Her hair was wild and her eyes frightened as she opened her mouth to speak. "Macie, Ben, Brittany and Tristan have just been in a what-could-be-fatal car crash." - Macie is your average teenage girl. Popular, Pretty, Perfect. Everyone at St. Phyllis Prep. knows who she is. She manages to befriend the most popular boy in the school, Andrew. When a new kid enrols to St Phyllis, sharing his love of Christ openly, she has no clue what has happened, or who this guy, Jesus, is! Chloe Anderson. On the outside, she is a seventh grade English teacher, Christian, and kind. On the inside, the woman has a troubled relationship past, difficulty opening up to people, and walls built high in the air and too thick to penetrate. Then Luke Jones comes along to be the other seventh grade English teacher. Despite her hesitations, Chloe can't help but taking an interest in him. The only way for him to get rid of the walls is to unlock the front gate. The problem for Chloe is letting herself hand over the key.

This book is written to encourage you to grow closer in your walk with Jesus. From your new life in Christ to walking by faith, things are covered that I, and maybe some of you, may struggle with. Whether you are already a Christian, or you don't know who Jesus is, this devotional will hopefully enlighten you about who He is and the calling He has placed over your life. While I learn and grow in my walk with God, I hope I can encourage you in yours. ❤

Psalm 95:7a - "For He is our God" Secularists and even many Christians view the God of the Bible as a powerful tyrant, bent on always getting His way. They believe that He is powerful, true, but there is no fondness or admiration in their eyes toward their Creator. They see only what they want to see, the negative aspects, and they refuse to look deeper into scripture to find out what He is truly like. Those of us with the courage to look beyond the point where others stop are met with a much different God. In a sense their is no way for us to describe God. He is far too great for us to even begin to wrap our minds around Him, and that's okay. It's enough to know that He is our God, and we are His people. He loves us deeply, deeper than any human could ever begin to imagine. He knows everything about us, and He holds us in the palm of His hand. He is your God. He is my God. He is our God.
