This is a short story that is a small introduction into my fictional world while also explaining the "rules" and format of how I write. This is a short story narrated by Gyra Pearce explaining a story that is historical in this time about a boy who involuntarily became a powerful megalomaniac at a high price he didn't want. Vesper, a Savoir pseudo-animal, has been living in a secluded enclave in western U.S. called the compound for over 60 years. She serves as one of eight leaders there and is no stranger to adventure and deadly situations. Recently, she has developed a love for one of the fellow leaders which is known to be illegal. However, she has been able to keep their relationship secret for almost 15 years. One day, a child appears at her doorstep and nobody knew that it was the start of a story that tells you what love is and who you are because of it. A very depressed kid named Martin Luster at the age of 16 goes walking in his back woods and finds a black titanium slim sword with the words "Lone Sword" etched in it near the hilt. Later on he finds out he's an expert swords-man and uses the sword to murder the people who killed his mother and father.

Near the shoreline of the rural, beautiful town of Johnson, Maine lies something that has stayed buried for years. Locals have been telling stories for years of strange sightings going on in the woods surronding the town. Nobody, of course, takes these stories seriously, aside from eight teenagers who are deadset on finding out about these figures coming from the famous Strange Trials in the local woods.
