Like in a romance movie, they locked eyes, and the whole world came to a screeching halt. What happened next wasn't as similar to a romance movie. He put a gun to her head And kidnapped her.

A short story of a killer finally opening his eyes to what he thought was once an impossible feat, and the possibility that he did so, only a little too late. (Sorry for the bad summary. I'm not really good at it, so I suggest you just read. Please! And leave constructive criticisms if you have the time.)
