In ancient times, when Eurot was still a developing world, dragons and wolflike creatures called lykaia ruled as the apex predators. They had little to fear, except perhaps each other. The world was balanced and life flourished. That was until the humans came and the world changed forever. Unaware of the evil they brought with them, the humans only feared their strange new world, for it was very wild and untamed. Fickle humans threatened to destroy everything in their wake yet again; influenced by the very evil that had destroyed countless worlds, including their own.. The evil, which was slowly growing,was eating away at Eurot's fragile balance with each passing year. The spirits that kept that balance were forced to take on a physical form for the first time in many years. Unable to fight this threat themselves, they did the only thing they could: find those who would be able to. A select group of individuals called "guardians" were appointed and granted powers by the ancient spirits; they were the only ones who could hope to fight this evil and protect the world. After years of struggle they managed to seal away the evil, destroying themselves in the process. Now, nearly a millennium later, the humans find themselves in the middle of a pointless war while the evil waits patiently for its freedom. Generations have gone by with very little knowledge of the destruction approaching. The new generation of guardians, who still wage their secret war against the evil, aim to reestablish the world's precious balance. Will the chosen guardians be ready when destiny comes calling?
