Now of course in movies we always have a scrappy little group that manages to defy all the odds and find a way to stop the intruders to our planet in the nick of time, but real life just doesn't work that way. In real life, the aliens show up, the people die. That was a fact. We knew this was the event that would end us, our extinction was upon us. What I hadn't expected, was to survive it....
