When Aiden left Bailey a year and a half ago she was just his shy nerdy best friend. They would spend every day together, tell each other their deepest secrets and vowed they’d never let anything come between them for as long as they lived. Once Bailey realizes she no longer has her support system and can’t get by just being Aiden’s quiet little best friend anymore she knows it’s time for a change. After a complete makeover and change in social status Bailey is no longer that shy quiet girl. No she is the “it girl.” But can popularity and new clothes change who you were on the inside completely? According to Bailey though, she doesn’t even know that girl anymore so maybe it can. Present status stable, slightly depressed. Dreading the start of the school year, which is tomorrow. All in all, normal. A usual person would have said 'perfectly normal', but Asper's life, while miserable and depressing and normal, yes, was far from perfect. Any life involving school, socializing, and aimless talk is imperfect, in her perspective. But then again, what can you say? Compared with the other kids in the orphanage she was adopted from eleven years ago, she was immeasurably lucky. Sigh. Oh well, as long as she sticks to being invisible, like she had for the past few years, Asper would most probably be safely out of the line of high-school fire. Or so she hoped.
