We know his mother abandoned him, he was beaten in a circus, and he lived under the Paris opera house. However, there is much more to the story. After all, we don't quite know why he was specifically the "Angel Of Music" or why he chose Christine amongst all the other talented singers. Perhaps, he knew her long before she moved to the Paris Populaire.

Christine Daae-Fourteen years old, in love with a boy who ran into the sea to fetch her scarf, quickly losing her father, and caught in a trance by a voice she hears in the dark. Will she marry the boy who she met at a beach? Or will the voice's face appear from the shadows?

When she decides to audition anyway as a violinist to prove a point, she becomes entangled with the Opera Ghost himself. As it turns out, Monsieur Opera Ghost is nothing like she had thought. When she joins him in his home, everything she knows about the world gets turned upside down. Emilie must face that the world is full of selfish people--including her own father.
