The townspeople of Stars Fall don't have an explanation for why odd events occur in their sleepy town. All that changes when a little dog named Barkly looks up to the heavens and wishes on a shooting star. His wish? To become a real man, a man worthy enough for a tattoo parlor owner, Cindy, whom he has fallen in love with. A newcomer named Ben arrives to town with a dog-like loyal, carefree demeanor, the robotic muscle to fight an otherworldly tentacle monster, and eyes only for Cindy. He manages to score a job at the next door flower shop and even make new friends. Soon Ben becomes entangled with a cast of quirky townsfolk as his quest to win Cindy's heart unravels the mystery of why Stars Fall is full of magic.

Wow, look at this! Don't you hate it when your title is equivalent to your description? Because I do too. It's slightly unprofessional, just like all the other things I rant about in this book... -- PLEASE NOTE: (as of 2019) I was much younger when I wrote this book, and much of what I said isn't as well considered or said exactly how I would go about it now, and I might not even agree with it all. Though there is immaturity within these chapters, people do seem to enjoy it, so I will leave it up. Thank you for understanding and allowing my younger self to voice her thoughts.
