Monroe talks an awful lot for someone who was born without vocal chords and has only one friend who knows sign language. Her neighbor, Remington throws Christmas parties an awful lot for someone who doesn't know the first thing about decorating. They both know that the holidays can be prickly sometimes, but with with each other, they discover that it doesn't have to be that way.

dear infinity, if only i had known that you never were. she is perfect, and he thinks it's only fair that he should tell her so in a form of communication that would last as long as her name implied. he wants to let her know that she is his universe, and he is but a small star within it. he doesn't realize how true that actually is. {lowercase intended}

There in those city lights, there was no her and there was no him. There was just everything and nothing and the spaces in between, like flickering lights against a never-ending, black sky. There was just listening and talking and understanding every single thing, like the 'ready, stop, go' of car-chasers and dream-makers. There in those city lights, there was no sadness and there was no happiness. There was just candid smiles and wasted tears and bottom lips chewed off, like the overflowing boulevard of things unseen. There in those city lights, there was no lady and there was no man. There was just a boy and a girl, who promised to fall in love, not with each other, but in those city lights.
