Everyone thinks being the Preacher's daughter is so easy but let me tell you a little secret, it isn't. You have to be perfect all the time no matter what, and I was perfect or at least I let everyone believe that I was, until Alex that is. Alex liberated me. Alex made me the person I am today and I guess that's why I am telling my story now because I want to make sure that people know if they meet a person like Alex to hold on tight and never let go because they don't come by very often. My story starts on the first page all you have to do is grab a coffee, get comfy and read.

We have a love hate relationship We love to hate and hate to love Physically we're miles apart But mentally you're in my heart The hardest part of moving on, is letting go of what I'm used to And moving forward with something with something that I'm not It's too late to apologize for the same mistake That you keep making over and over again. I can't go a day without talking to you And a month without seeing you There's not a second that goes by that I'm not thinking of you When I saw you, I was afraid to meet you When I met you, I was afraid to kiss you When I kissed you, I was afraid of loving you Now that I love you, I'm afraid of losing you We have a love hate relationship

Malenda and August's life can be compared to a piece of paper that has been balled up and then tried to be straightened out. At this point, everything that they have been through has caused some sort of damage. Somehow, they are still holding up. If that piece of paper gets wet, their whole world can come crumbling back down and eventually fall apart. Getting another piece of paper and starting over fresh isn't easy either. It's almost impossible. Who knew that one of the two's vulnerability could be the cause of an overall state of fragility?

The last time they spoke, things that didn't need to be said were said which brought on the end of their relationship. Now an upcoming artist, August has made a name for himself while touching the lives of other people with his story. He's been doing great; moving to Atlanta was the best decision he's ever made. But was leaving a broken hearted Malenda behind worth it? Malenda has been keeping a low profile: doing anything to not be seen by August or anyone who knows him. The only people she deals with are Mama Alsina and Chandra but only if they will keep her secret from August.
