Her legs felt like fire, she could feel herself shaking from exhaustion and lack of food, but she couldn't stop. She wanted to keep going, needed to keep going. She needed to get farther away from Jacques Schnee.

Innocence. Something fragile. Something that should be protected. That's what Blake Belladonna thought to herself from the last relationship she had. That relationship also taught her that innocence is nothing else but a hindrance to passion. When her amber eyes landed on a pair of icy blues across the floor, she knew she wanted her. Weiss Schnee came to the club to have a good time with her sister, to loosen up from all the company work she was trying to do but when she saw the girl--her plans started to change. One drink. She offers the homeless person a place to stay, and learns her name is Yang Xiao Long. As the days close towards Christmas, the two realize their feelings towards each other, but can either of them confess before Christmastime is over?

All Ruby wanted was to be there for her sister after their mother died. She channeled her anger and motivation into a passion for sports, which takes her to a school for the most talented athletes. Then, she meets Weiss Schnee, one of the greatest fencers in Vale. A strange turn of events leads to them joining forces in a competition that could make or break Ruby's greatest ambition. The adversities of being a freshman in high school and falling in love with her new mentor teach Ruby that life is rough, but that's what makes it worth living.
