Five Star Reviews for Atlantis Academy: "Omg this book was amazing I couldn't put it down or stop reading. I carried it with me open on my phone while I did everything just to keep reading. I need more of all of this. Epic story, epic content, epic visuals, just epic. LOVE THIS!" "Once I got into this story, I did not stop reading it. This is a beautiful story about a very awkward girl who is riven with so much pain and angst and yet... this makes her who she is and shapes her into the person she will become. The world she finds herself awakened to is magical and yet filled with the all-too-familiar cliques and tribes of the very human people who inhabit it. One word to describe the story: beautiful!" "The story pulls you headlong to the end and leaves you wanting to shout "No! Not yet!" ...If there were 6 stars, I would have given it that." *** Humanity is one secret society away from extinction. The children of Atlantis use magic to keep us safe. If they make it through the Academy. Hi, I'm Lyric. And I'm kind of a mess. ADHD, that's me. I'm a high school drop-out, late everywhere I go, and one screw-up away from being homeless. I'm a loner, and I like it that way. Who needs friends when you have a Redwood forest nearby? Trees never bully me like the kids did at school. Or get drunk and throw things at my head. After my mom died, I figured life couldn't get much worse. I thought it might even get better. Ha. The universe has a great sense of humor. I should've listened to the rumors about evil spirits. About the angry, ancient magical creatures haunting our small Oregon Coast town. But did I? No. That was my first mistake. And it might be my last. 'Cause now I'm in a battle for my life. A whole new world has opened up... a magical world I don't understand. And the blood in my veins says I belong here. But I have to prove myself to save myself. And when have I ever done that?

No one ever said what would happen when dragons and aliens meet. And no one told me that I would be in the middle of it. Tasha was studying hard to get through her last year of university when she was kidnapped. She certainly didn't expect to wake up with four feet and wings. Mad scientists are bad enough, but things get even more complicated when aliens appear and wipe out the human race. Is there a way for her to hide her true identity in this new world while retaining her humanity? --------------------- Sneak Peek: I jumped over the lip of the tray and beat down hard with my wings. I had expected to only slow my fall; I had not expected to end up gaining so much height. I squawked in surprise and spread my wings wide in alarm before gravity regained its hold on me. With several awkward back-winging motions of my wings, I landed lightly on the floor. Well, at least I know my wings work. I glanced at the man in the corner as he was scribbling quick notes. I turned around to regard the tray again. They say practice makes perfect. With another hop and a single wingbeat, I managed to land in the sand tray with fanned wings slowing my momentum. That was much more graceful. But a wing-assisted hop wasn't true flight. And I still wasn't on the windowsill. ---------------------------- Entire semi-polished draft can be read on Wattpad. Death is only the beginning... For as long as anyone can remember, there have been legends of Atlantis. A city that shone. A city that fell. A city that vanished into the sea never to be seen again. Until now. Aubrey Winters is your typical geeky librarian- at least, she was until she died. Waking up inside a casket was never how she planned her life going - she had plans. Well, maybe not plans unless you counted reading through a TBR pile. Still, she sure as hell didn't want to die. When an accident ends her life prematurely, Aubrey finds herself plunged into a whole new world. A world of blood, of battles, and of beasts. Forced from her quiet life, Aubrey must learn to fight with courage, honour, and loyalty to survive. She must become Atlantian or die trying.

⭐ FEATURED ⭐ 02/16/2018 Longlisted, Wattys 2018 ✅ COMPLETE Jocasta's nineteen years of peaceful existence in a little village of the Kingdom of Ontur blew up in pieces without much warning: Grandmother had a secret, an old pact with a mysterious man-a pact that, apparently, Jo and her new tagalongs - a flamboyant mage, a goofball knight pledge and a young alchemist-now had to take care of, thanks to the untimely death of the King of Ontur. A quest to find an ancient place, concealing an artifact of unmeasurable power and rumored to be deadly. And posthaste, before it falls into the wrong hands. That's something all grandmothers ask of their granddaughters sometime in their lifetime, right? And all that was at stake was the stability of the kingdom: no pressure. Set in a world where magic is vital, where mages are as equally feared and shunned as they're needed. A temporarily Kingless kingdom where vultures wait for the perfect time to take a plunge. A world where secrets and lies are as abundant, dangerous and necessary as magic. But something else brews in the Kingdom of Ontur: something bigger than Jocasta and her Grandmother's secrets. ⭐ 1st place in Fantasy, The Crystal Crown Awards 2017 || Highest ranking : #46 in Fantasy 03/04/2018 #writteninaction you can read a review here: https://www.wattpad.com/471550430-island-of-lost-toys-reviews-great-reads-for-the

(Wattpad picks: Up and coming List 06-07-18) The Great War is over. The guns are silent. The fires are quenched. The Dead are waking. Meg van Helsing grew up with a crucifix in one hand and a wooden stake in the other, her nose forever in a book. With the survivors and children of the band that killed Dracula, she keeps the south of England safe from the un-dead and never thinks twice about decapitating a revenant. The ghost of the War looms darker than Dracula's shadow. Until the night Quincey Harker disappears. Suddenly, her friends are under attack from all sides, beset by the blood-hungry corpses of un-dead soldiers, as another monster appears in their midst: an incubus, lethally attractive. The young man needs help, and Meg doesn't want to believe he is sending the attacks. If only she could convince them she is immune to his spell. Someone wants the Dracula gang dead at all costs. The answer lies in old magic, blood sorcery, and a secret kept for twenty-five years. If Meg wants her friends to live, she'll have to open her eyes. A MODERN MEDIEVAL FANTASY #3 in Fantasy |Book 1 of the Fifth Daughter Trilogy| When darkness arises and the world of Fantasy is in danger of being destroyed, the Dragon Riders are the first to show up. Fire and fang, sword and shaft, meet the enemy head on and the wars don't end until the enemy is disbanded. It's not a pretty business, but it must be done to secure the lives of every creature within Fantasy. There are two Rider schools - over thousands of Riders and dragons - and Smoke Green is one of them, no matter how much she dislikes the idea and the heights. Her fate has been chosen, even if she doesn't want it. With a vacant father, a mother who has too many secrets, four older sisters, an older brother, and a three minute older, annoying twin brother, Smoke isn't expected to be much more than a hometown girl of Folklore; who will get a boring desk job and never leave home. But then the Sage of the Burrows proclaims her a Dragon Rider and a Fifth Daughter and Smoke's life changes stories - literally. Moving from Folklore to Legend, Smoke is taught that fears can be conquered and villains do have a hunger for power. She also learns she might just have the power this villain is after. She makes friends: Something she didn't know she could do, she finds her dragon: Someone she didn't know even existed, and she learns her past: Something she didn't know was so complicated. But when rebellions begin to break out across the globe; the world of Fantasy is once again put in danger and the Dragon Riders might not be able to save their home this time around. Especially, when the enemy is from one of their own royal families; once thought incinerated, and his accomplice might just be Smoke's long thought dead father. In this first book of the Fifth Daughter Trilogy, J.J. wants you to forget everything you think you know of mythology and open your mind to a new kind of fantasy. In a world divided into three races since ancient times, there have been three kingdoms. The first kingdom is the kingdom of the gods and sits in the heavens ruling above the other two. The second is called Amaryllis and filled with the prosperous, but greedy Lekki, a humanoid race that relies much on machinery and the gods above to protect them, since their own bodies are weak. The final kingdom, called only the Wild Woods, is filled with dark and murderous creatures known as the Mutare. Honey, a Lekki girl, lives on the border between these three words, and often time finds herself staring into the depths of the Wild Woods. Her whole life she'd been taught that the woods was a dark and dangerous place, where only the night beasts could survive. But, with one simple deal to save her brother's life, Honey finds herself in the depths of these very woods with two very strange boys, searching for something they call the Rose Book.
