They've wanted to meet each other from the day they started talking. The only thing keeping them from meeting, was 2,880 miles. Emma lived in Ottowa, Canada. Killian lived in Napa, California. 1 year after they started talking, Emma's parents we mysteriously murdered. She closed her self off from everyone, and built her walls a mile high. She had to move in with her uncle, James. She stopped trusting everyone around her, but never stopped talking to Killian. He was the only thing keeping her going after James started abusing Emma. She told him everything. It's Emma's 18th birthday. 4 years since her and Killian started talking. Little does she know, Killian has the best birthday surprise for her.

Emma Swan, 17, is the new girl at Storybrooke High. She lives with her mother, Mary Margaret and stepfather, Walsh. Emma has unfortunately never met her father. Killian Jones, 23, is a history teacher at Storybrooke High, and has a reputation for being extremely strict. When these two meet their is an instant attraction between them, but don't let that fool you. They instantly clash, giving their relationship a rocky start. When the guidance counselor sees that Emma is failing history, she assigns her a tutor. Under the impression her tutor was going to be another student, Emma is shocked to find out it it's none other than Mr. Jones. They grow close and Emma realizes that maybe he isn't as bad as she thought.

Her boss was a jerk, but, weren't all bosses meant to be feared? Emma Swan has been working at Jones Brother's Distribution Center or JBDC for short, for the last six months. She has been the perfect employee. Has never arrived late, always has paperwork's sent in before the deadlines, and has never left early. But, that was never good enough for Killian Jones. The youngest brother from the company, but most feared and hated boss in the building. She wanted to know why he hates her the most. Why he thinks it's okay to step all over her, but, she's afraid that if she speaks up, he'll fire her. Emma's got enough on he plate. Losing a job can't one of them.
