Three years after the Battle of Hogwarts, Hermione is working in the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures. She's making significant changes for the better, and is on track to rise through the ranks of the British Ministry. Less than a year later, she disappears. No-one knows where or why she's gone, though Harry suspects it's something to do with Hermione's new office-mate. Draco insists he's as clueless as the rest of them. It remains a mystery for years until Draco stumbles across Hermione in a muggle town in Northern Ireland. Despite her panicked requests to leave her in peace, Draco is determined to find out what she's hiding.

The previous seventh-year students have returned for their eighth and final year since their entire seventh year was spent fighting off Voldemort and his death eaters. Hundreds of witches and wizards have died, and the population is extremely low. With not enough witches and wizards left in the population, a new law is put into place, those ages 17-25 are expected to marry and produce children in the next two years of their life. Marriage shall be required in one year. If a witch or wizard of age refuses to wed, their wands will be snapped and magic taken away. Not wishing this, the seventh and eighth-year students obey, they would be placed into an arranged marriage, based on what the sorting hats new brother decides. Who will be placed with who?
