The drama tells the story of Fan Changyu, a butcher's daughter, and Xie Zheng, a fallen marquis, who are fated to meet in a snowstorm. She, orphaned, is determined to become the head of her own household; he, living under an assumed name, seeks revenge for a blood feud from 17 years ago. Each with their own agenda, they enter a marriage of convenience that slowly turns into true love. What begins as mutual exploitation blossoms into genuine affection, but that love soon brings bloody warfare, forcing the lovers apart. Wielding her butcher's knife, Fan Changyu marches onto the battlefield in search of her family, her husband, and justice.
