Forever Family

Inspired by a true story, ‘Forever Family’ is about a couple who have just turned forty, Kate and Paul, who decide to adopt a child.
The couple’s decision to adopt is well-meaning but the couple have a somewhat rosy view of what motherhood will entail. They have had very little child-care experience - Kate has never changed a nappy and the sum total of her knowledge of bringing up children is watching Supernanny on television.
However, three months later, Kate and Paul they are approved as adoptive parents and immediately matched with three siblings, two boys and a girl aged 5, 3 and 2. Kate thinks her wildest dreams have come true, especially when social services offer to pay the couple a generous monthly allowance for the first twelve months.
However the couple’s fast-track through the system poses serious problems as their house is going through major renovation works and their crash course in childcare is fraught with problems and challenges caused by the children’s destructiveness, temper tantrums and the children’s incessant chattering, squealing, shouting, crying and giggling as they fight for their parents' attention.
This happy, sad, often humerous story is narrated by the mother, and also by the five year old boy whose charming personality steamrollers Kate and Paul’s emotions causing anguish and ultimately disaster for every member of the family.
