Dick ran away with the Torrance's and Jack is presumed dead, but he was missing. No one knows where he went to. Also this happens a year after The shining, (canonically it happens in the 70's) so there will be no smartphones and modern conveniences that we have today. This is going to be a slow burn and there will be slight angst. There is also going to be blood, kidnapping, forced relationship, forced marriage, and murder. So mature audiences only!
