Huxley was deep, thoughtful and as one might fancily call him morally upright, taken after his foster parents, who were well known in the society for their unrewarded good deeds. Although, unaware of his birth parents, everybody including him knew that he must have their brains, reason how he aced in all subjects since elementary. Furthermore, he has had an indisputable devotion for tennis, that only made him stand out more through his high school years. His foster parents couldn't have been any prouder. But only when he gets diagnosed with hypopituitarism at a young age of 17, his life takes a turn. The sickness, even though treatable, gives him a feeling of being disabled for life. His foster parents old enough to retire, end up working harder to cover for his medication, which keeps getting expensive by the day, and there isn't anything that could bother Hux more. While he does whatever he can to help out, there is an unmistakable feeling of hollowness that continues to tug at him, deeper inside that abyss which is ready to swallow him whole. He might look like a normal kid to everybody, but deeper inside there is this unintelligible force, that is forcing him to make decisions he knows would hurt him beyond recovery. And all he wants right now is to confide his fears to someone, he believes will be able to stop him from driving himself crazy. But he knows that's impossible, since the impenetrable sheet he has covered himself with, can do nothing but compensate him with solitude. What is the fate of someone who is nothing but conflicted from within? When all his desires are poles apart on the spectrum of his soul? Time might tell, but he is running out of it. And whatever that has to come his way, must come in quickly.
