Waking up. Usually it's a blessing, a gift from god to live another day. Now it seems more like a curse. Having to watch your back every step and basically await your gruesome death. Living till you're elderly and dying peaceful in your sleep doesn't happen anymore. You're either going to starve, get sick, or now get eaten by the undead. Was this a punishment from god for those who have sinned? No it can't be. My grandpa still wouldn't be here. My mom wouldn't be here. They were both saints. Me on the other hand is debatable. I've thought about ending it all, but they need me. They were the only ones keeping me sane and I'd do anything to protect them. Let me introduce myself. My name is Mae. Mae Roesch, I'm 23 and I live in this hellish world with my mom and my grandpa. Where's my dad you ask? Hopefully dead. I take care of my family now. I hunt, mom cooks and does laundry, and grandpa is the lookout. We actually got a pretty good system going on. It's the same routine everyday. Fight to stay alive.
