Vic Fuentes never thought anything bad would happen to him. He had a pretty decent life; star-player of the soccer team at his high school, good grades, girls swooning over him. Vic never really took danger precautions seriously. One drunken night, he’s dared to go into the woods alone in the middle of the night while drunk to sleep there. That’s the night when his mindset about danger changed. Kellin Quinn-Bostwick was always the loner boy. His life was as low as someone’s life could get; abusive parents, bad grades, no friends. He was also openly gay. People never tried to tease him or taunt him about it; or about anything, for that matter. Everyone knew Kellin could kill–literally. He watches Vic and his drunken friends near the woods and decides, without thinking, how to ruin their night. He doesn’t know it yet, but Kellin only made Vic’s night better. Kellin is from a future of hell. In year 2050, there are world wars and chaos and complete horror. When Kellin's dad sends him on a mission to go back to the past and kill Vic Fuentes, the man who started it all, Kellin has to try and gain Vic's trust in order to continue into the process of killing him. But as the days pass and Kellin and Vic become friends, Kellin starts to develop feelings for Vic. His mission could fail if he continues to like Vic but he can't fight the strong feeling they have together.

All the girls are going crazy, imagining all the case scenarios from cliché YA books: mysterious, rebel, bad boy, werewolf, fallen angel, even vampire! The worst part, I don't even think they have read the books; they only watched the films. However, it doesn't make much difference to me, it's not like he is going to see me. No one sees me.
