Will Solace is out of his comfort zone. He loves helping people. He comes from a background full of friends and family, who encouraged his choices for as long as he can remember. Those choices have led him towards the goal of becoming a doctor, since working in healthcare has always been his passion. Will has moved far away from everything and everyone he knows to take an internship in New York City. ~ Nico di Angelo can't shake the feeling he's a burden. He's been struggling to get by since he was sixteen years old. His sister, Hazel, is the only person he allows himself to get close to. Nico works two jobs and is at his breaking point, but he refuses to accept anyone's help. Nico is exhausted. He shows no emotion to anyone but his sister, Hazel, and he has no friends at school- not that he tries to make any. Will solace is popular, happy, and always overly optimistic. He has a million friends. He knows almost everyone is his grade and gets along with nearly everyone he meets. He loves doing volunteer work in the hospital and playing volleyball and basketball. He experiences the "typical high school experience". Until he doesn't. When Will and Nico meet, everything changes for both boys.
