May Fredericks hates New York. Which is fair enough, since New York seems to hate her back. Just weeks after moving from Wisconsin to Manhattan, she receives the world's worst marriage proposal, stabs her boyfriend with a shrimp fork in a very public venue, and accidentally becomes notorious. And that’s before she gets mugged. At her wit's end, May washes up at a Packers bar in Greenwich Village, where she meets a surly, unhelpful guy who hates her shoes and calls her ex a douche. His name is Ben. He used to be a chef. Now he's a rooftop beekeeper with anger management issues. She wouldn't even like him, but he reminds her of home … and he knows where to find all the best food in the Village. She makes him laugh. He buys her tacos and cowboy boots. The longer they’re stuck together, the better May and Ben get along … and the harder they fall. TRULY is a quirky, modern New York love story unlike any you've read before. ********* About the Serialization TRULY, the first novel in Ruthie Knox’s forthcoming New York Series, will be serialized in its entirety on Wattpad. When it comes to seventeen-year-olds Aurora “Rory” West and Kale Mathews, there is no such thing as the concept of ‘common ground.’ Their interactions (the few that they have) are always filled with overly-sarcastic remarks and countless number of trips to the principal’s office. One day, when a particular interaction goes a bit too far, their principal decides to punish them with The Baby Project- a month long project, worth more than half their grade, that requires them to parent a fake baby. In the beginning, the partnership is discarded as a joke by both students. However, when threatened with the possibility of expulsion, Rory and Kale reluctantly agree to make peace for the sake of their education. Over time, something changes, making them question their thoughts and feelings. They say there's a thin line between love and hate, but will a baby be the last push? (Editing but still updating)

"S-sorry?" I choked out, rapidly paling. Its amazing how three words can affect someone so badly. He's GOT to be kidding me. Its just... impossible. I refuse to believe it. He didn't say that. He couldn't have. He wouldn't. "We are partners," he repeated in his sarcastically slow voice. He did. ------------------------------------- Crissane's plan for senior year: 1. Study 2. Avoid the male population at all costs 3. Get that scholarship While everybody saw her as the friendless freak, nobody knew her passion. Cooking. When she walked through the doors of Pristine High for her final year, she expected it to be full of cooking and avoiding people, like always. Besides, she needed to focus on getting that scholarship that she'd been dreaming of for years. Problem. She ended up being paired up with someone. Not too big of a deal, until she learns HE'S clueless in the kitchen. If he could tell apart kitchen utensils, she did not know. Who knew that she'd been brewing herself a pot of disaster? If only she'd known that there was more to that quiet kid that nobody knew, she could've avoided all that drama that year and continued her life as a loser. She wouldn't let this stop her. So much for sticking to the plan. She HAD to get the scholarship. Besides... things change for the better, right?
