Fiddleford McGucket was living happily with his new wife and their young son, Tate. Sure, the family didn't have a lot of money, but they got by, and they were happy. One day, Fiddleford received a call from an old college friend asking him to come help with a large project he was working on. There was a lot of money wrapped up in this deal for Fiddleford, but taking it on would mean leaving Ada and Tate behind, for at least a few months. After weighing his options, Fiddleford decided to take on the job and headed north to Oregon, where he'd be staying with his friend, Stanford Pines. For a while, things were going great. The machine was making good progress, and Fiddleford and Stanford were becoming close friends again. And then disaster struck. Again. And then again.
