You can barely make out the phrase "Welcome to Gravity Falls" on it, for it has faded away over time. The wind carried away quite a good amount of dust away to reveal a book; a journal of sorts. It suddenly opened up, revealing unusual notes and scratches in the yellowed pages. Some of them was seemingly stained with what looked like little drops of blood. As it flipped to the last page, the blood suddenly became more prominent. There was a phrase and a sentence enclosed in quotation marks written there. ENCIPHERED INSCRIPTIONS.
