Blue eyes. I was always a sucker for blue eyes. Every guy I've ever gone out with has blue eyes. I've seen all different shades. From midnight blue to so light that they almost look grey. But never have I seen eyes as blue as Tyler Hasting's. When you were in a room with poor lighting, they looked like any old blue eyes, not too dark and not too light. But when he is in the sun, they twinkle and swirl like the ocean. They have the obvious blue with an underlying current of green. It's not just his eyes that I've fallen for, he has dark brown hair and a chiseled face. His body isn't half bad either. I've had a crush on him since ninth grade, but I've known him longer. How do you not know him when he's captain of the football team, dating the head cheerleader, most popular guy in school, and did I forget to mention he's my best friend's older brother?

Ariel Lewis was always the shy and quiet type, especially around guys. All she wants is to keep her head down and finish up her senior year without a problem, which becomes seemingly impossible when Luke Mason, Oceanside High School's heartthrob, and all-around jackass, comes into her life. When the two get paired up for a final project worth half their grade, neither one thinks anything good will come of it. Nothing will happen between a sweet nerd and a stuck up jerk. Six teens are devoted to a game with one rule: If a player gets tagged, they must change their life within the next fifteen minutes. The better the player, the bigger the change. One might give their car away, or punch the school bully. Another might change identities or sacrifice their virginity. Anything to keep evolving, to avoid fitting into a label or caring about the junk they own. But their quest for enlightenment has taken a rotten final turn - one of the players has murdered the game's creator, the teen prophet (cult leader?) David Bloom. Our narrator is being framed for the crime; can he clear his name and discover which of his lifelong friends is the murderer before he takes the fall? [sic] is a gritty teen murder mystery that delves into the psychology of enlightenment among the criminally dysfunctional.
