Growing up I was always referred to as the "fat kid", "peanut butter", "fat ass" or simply and most notably, "fatty". (This is the part where everyone laughs). I never particularly cared to tell my parents because a.) they would go absolutely crazy if they found out that people called me those names and b.) I didn't want to make a big deal out of it. So I just allowed it to continue. Just like I allowed myself to go home every night and cry. And how I allowed myself to never socialize because I never thought that I was "good enough".  And how I allowed myself to eat and eat myself into a coma. But this story isn't just about me. But while it may seem that there are only dark days ahead, trust me: there is some light along the way. Understand that it gets better.
