Beetlestripe, a loyal and outgoing warrior of WindClan, has it easy. Every cat loves and admires him, and everyone knows he'll become the next deputy. The only problem is, the current deputy of WindClan is his brother, Airstep, a quiet and observant cat. Airstep loathes Beetlestripe for a reason unknown to him, and as word goes out that there are mysterious scents around and sudden disappearances of cats, Airstep decides to investigate. The investigation lasts longer than expected, and suddenly he's vanished as well. A frantic Beetlestripe is a substitute for deputy, but with the sudden loss of his brother's existence, something has sparked in him. He wants to know what happened, and take revenge for it.
