It is here that we find such figures as Little Red Riding Hood, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Hansel and Gretel, Tom Thumb, Rapunzel, and the Bremen Town Musicians--to name but a few. But be forewarned: these are not the tales as presented in such venues as The Little Golden Book series or on the big screen by Walt Disney. True enough, there is magic, wonder, and a world in which good triumphs... but there is also savage retribution, revenge, brutality, torture, and the occasional flourish of anti-semetism as well.

The work of the Brothers Grimm have gained worldwide renown as the inspiration behind many modern classics in cinematic history, most notably, Walt Disney's children's' films. This is a collection of the original tales, of well-known works such as "Cinderella" ("Aschenputtel") , "The Frog Prince" ("Der Froschkönig") and "Sleeping Beauty" ("Dornröschen") and lesser-known ones, like "The Fisherman and His Wife" ("Von dem Fischer und seiner Frau"), "The Singing Bone" ("Der singende Knochen"), and "The Wedding of Mrs. Fox" ("Die Hochzeit der Frau Füchsin"), all of which are lovely tales that I hope you'll enjoy! :)

Ashley just moved to her new school, and life, at the Tickle Academy. Her biggest problem, trying not to get into serious trouble because it is no laughing matter. (I notice that there are mistakes in the story. Especially when it comes to names. I am doing my best to correct these. I'm sorry that I let these slip).
