This book is my version of what happened after Last Sacrifice. The original characters and parts of the story from Vampire Academy belong to Richelle Mead, author of the Vampire Academy series. After Vasilisa Dragomir is crowned queen, there are a lot of things that happen. Attacks, assassinations--and to top it all off there's also Jill, her illegitimate sister. Vasilisa also needs to decide whether to go off to Lehigh University to finish her studies or just stay at Court. Her decision becomes harder when something happens with Rose--something big. The thousand-year-old prophecy is revealed by Ekaterina, a former queen, and Rose must be protected--perhaps even more than the Moroi Queen herself.
