Samuel Brandt woke up with his thoughts written all over his body. His brother woke up with his head missing. His sister woke up to find that her skin would crack open unless she stayed in water. All of the other children in the secluded Iowa town of Oak Knoll woke up having undergone strange transformations. Now, they are all forced to live at 407 West Marshall Street, the mysterious house outside of town. With the new name of The Boy with Words for Skin, Samuel wants nothing more than to hide from his new life. He painfully and unpredictably sheds his skin, there is a Voice in the entryway closet that is often cruel, and-perhaps worst of all for a naturally shy boy-the other children look to him as a leader. As his seven-year-old brother struggles with their new life, as terrifying growls start to come from the pitch black basement, and as his feelings for a girl begin to grow, The Boy with Words for Skin realizes that he wants to change. He wants to put others first, learn from his peers, and let himself hope that things will get better. The Boy with Words for Skin is the first book in the 407 West Marshall Street series. Each book will advance the story but be told from a different character. Book 2 will be The Girl without Eyes.

I jolted up, sweat dripping down my neck. I scrambled for the pills beside me and popped two into my mouth. "I shouldn't have done that." I muttered. I sat up shaking violently, waiting for the medication to kick in. Slowly I started to feel numb again, one of my favorite feelings. Thanks to those pills, I can finally start to feel somewhat sane. But don't get me wrong, I'm not a drug addict. I'm just a dying girl who is afraid of what she might become. Understand? XXX I dropped onto the ground, clutching my jaw. The red liquid known as blood flooded my mouth like a river. You see, the taste of blood definitely isn't unfamiliar. Just like the sensation of pain. Those two were buddies in my life. It's quite funny, I remember the cracking of my bones and glass seeping into my skin, just like the small needles that pumped medicine into my blood system to keep my small fragile body alive. All these hits yet, here I am standing. Guess you can call me superman. But even though I might be standing, I've already crumbled inside. Humans have glass hearts and strings that hold them together. What would we have left if our glass heart shatters and all the strings popped? XXX WARNING: Story is triggering to audiences that are sensitive to suicide and cutting. Oh and this story is quite frankly, cringey as hell. Story is in a very slow process of editing, so if there are errors, feel free to point them out and I will be quick to fix them! Hope you guys enjoy UnSavable! 'What was that?' I whispered to Cole who had gone pale. 'I don't know' he replied. 'Should we go check it out?' I asked. 'Probably just Keeling dropping a box of files or something'. 'Yeah probably' I agreed trying to reassure myself. Then another crash, this time louder followed by a bone shattering roar. Both Cole and I leapt to our feet. 'Still think it was Keeling?' I asked Cole, he gulped. All it took was one chance sighting in the car park, a high school fight and one disastrous detention for Ivy Waters and Summer Adams to be thrown into a world they had no idea existed. Not only that but they are more involved in this unknown world than they could ever imagine. A new power threatens to rise and wreak havoc and destruction on Eremay. The only ones who can stop it, could also be the ones to aid it. Ivy is the complete polar opposite of Summer as this new power rises she begins to wonder if she's really as "good" as everyone thinks she is. Summer must rise up against all odds and fight the most painful battle against her own flesh, she must leave the battle victorious or she won't leave at all, no matter the consequences.

Everything happens for a reason. It’s what Ioney Mercer tells herself whenever she pauses to think about the circumstances of her life. Why did her older brother die? Why did her mother leave her with five brothers and sisters to raise? Why did the only person she’d ever fallen in love with have to go? Because everything happens for a reason. Saying it was one thing. Believing it was another. And recently, the mantra had started sounding more like an annoying show tune that could easily be tuned out rather than the unfailing piece of truth she needed it to be. But then, one silly little saying could only get you so far when your life was on the line yet again. More importantly, it meant absolutely nothing when your family was being targeted as well. Things are starting to shake up in Chicago. Callahan Cordero has been released from prison. His first order of business: Revenge on the person responsible for putting him there. With nowhere to run or hide, Ioney has no choice but to engage the enemy head on. The only question left to ask is whether she will stand alone, or if help will come from the most unlikely of places.
