অচেনা এক লোক সিদ্রাকে কিডন্যাপ করে নিয়ে এলো জঙ্গলের এক কুঁড়েঘরে। শুরু করলো একের পর এক অত্যাচার। এমন অপরাধের শাস্তি ওকে দেয়া হচ্ছে যা করার কথা ও ভাবতেও পারেনা। কিন্তু তাহলে ও শাস্তি পাচ্ছে কেন? এই অত্যাচারের শেষ কোথায়? লেখিকার কথা: সম্পূর্ণ শখের বশে একটা ড্রামার প্লটকে বেস করে লেখা শুরু করেছিলাম গল্পটা। শুরু করার সময়েও জানতামনা যে ডালপালা মেলে সে উপন্যাসের রূপ নিবে। কাঁচা হাতের লিখা, অজস্র ভুল হয়তো থাকবে। দয়া করে সেগুলো ধরিয়ে দিবেন এবং ক্ষমাসুন্দর দৃষ্টিতে দেখবেন। ভালো লাগুক, মন্দ লাগুক, জানিয়ে বাধিত করবেন। জাযাকাল্লাহু খইরন।

She can never go outside the palace, she can never have friends, she can never eat or say or wear whatever she wants and she can never choose the person she is going to marry. মিতুর চাকরি টা হঠাৎ করেই হয়ে যায় ফারাজ চৌধুরীর গ্রুপে । আশ্চর্য ভাবে ফারাজের সাথে মিতুর জীবনটা আস্তে আস্তে আটকে যেতে থাকে । অদ্ভুত এক স্বপ্ন দেখে মিতু হাজির হয় এমন এক স্থানে যেখানে সে আগে পৌছায় নি । ফারাজকে আহত অবস্থায় পড়ে থাকতে দেখানে । মিতু চাইলেও নিজেকে ফারাজ থেকে দূরে রাখতে । সেই সাথে এও উপলদ্ধি করে কেউ সব সময় ওর চোখ রেখে চলেছে । একটা অস্বস্থিবোধ সময় কাজ করে তার মনে । এরপর মিতুর জীবনে বড় রকমের পরিবর্তন আছে । জীবনে একবার আঘাত প্রাপ্ত হয়ে যখন আরেকজনকে আস্তে আস্তে বিশ্বাস করতে শুরু করেছিলো, ভরশা করতে শুরু করেছিল তখনই তার ব্যাপারে ভয়ংকর তথ্য জানতে পারে । এখন মিতু কি করবে ? একের পর এক আসা এই ঝড়ে কি সে টিকে থাকতে পারবে ?

ব্রোকেন ফ্যামিলির মেয়ে আবন্তি । সব সময় একা একা থেকেছে, একা একাই বড় হয়েছে । থাকে বাবার সাথে যে কি না বেশির ভাগ সময়েই থাকে বাইরে । নিজেকে কঠিন হৃদয়ের মানুষ হিসাবে উপস্থাপন করলেও মনের অনেক গভীরে ভালবাসা পাওয়ার জন্য আরও একটা মন সব সময় লুকিয়ে থাকে, বাইরে আসতে চায় কিন্তু আবন্তি সেই মনটাকে কোন ভাবেই বাইরে আসতে দিতে চায় না । এমনই ভাবে যখন জীবন চলে যাচ্ছিলো তখনই তার সাথে অদ্ভুভ ভাবে পরিচয় হয়ে যায় স্যামন চৌধুরীর । সুদর্শন আর গম্ভীর চরিত্রের এক ছেলের সাথে । তারপর থেকেই আবন্তির সাথে একের পর ঘটনা ঘটতে থাকে । নিজের জীবনটা বদলতা থাকে দ্রুত গতিতে...।।
