Death has been personified in many ways throughout history; a dark, shadowy hooded figure with skeletal hands, the Devil, demons, even angels... angels... just the thought of it makes me want to laugh! We are far different from any of those beings. We can understand why you humans would believe such foolish things, though. You see, we used to be like you; slow, weak, oblivious to the world that is right in front of you. You give us many names; monsters, murderers, minions of the devil, and even angels of death. No, we are just like you. Physically, that is. And we are everywhere. In fact, if you are reading this right now, there is a good chance one of us just passed you by. Watching you. Making sure you don't see this. Oh, you poor unfortunate humans, not seeing the world as it truly is. We are the managers of life and death. We are the reapers.

Celestial Children Book 1 Abby Freelander was insane. After all, it's not normal for animals to talk. However, that's exactly what happens when a stray dog warns her to flee a harmless-looking fog. From animal telepathy to meeting the eccentric and gummy-bear obsessed Josh Ewah, Abby starts to realize there's more to her life than she thought. Hunted by a shape shifting mad-man named Khail and guided by the mysteries surrounding the Ewah family, Abby is drawn into a world beyond her wildest imagination. She must come to grips with her new reality before it's too late. Being insane would have been a lot less complicated. ___ This story was posted to Wattpad and only Wattpad. In 2042, the United States of America were consolidated into the American Utopia, a totalitarian dystopia in which many of the freedoms known in the early 21st century no longer exist. Among the things to be outlawed are smoking, owning of firearms or weapons by citizens, and homosexuality. Ten years later, a movement known as the Humanum appeared, starting rallies and other political movements in a non-violent effort to change the government. The Humanum later changed to the Humanum Resistance when they realized nothing would change without force, so they went underground. Twenty years after the Resistance started, a man named Zachary Sinclair, in Pax City - formerly New York City - works for the Resistance as a courier. He delivers packages and messages that, if sent through the normal channels, would incite the wrath of the police. When on a run, one day, he encounters Felix Loury, beaten and bloodied - and missing his left arm - in an alleyway. The resulting multiple trips to the hospital change Zach's life. In what way, who can tell?
