What if you could hear them? The thoughts they deigned not reasonable enough to say out loud, the things not suitable for even a giggly teenage gossip conversation. Would it be a blessing or a curse? Troye, the unlucky teenager bestowed with this 'gift', thinks of it as a curse, with good reason. Do you know how hard it is to keep a relationship with someone when you know exactly what they think of you? Impossible. It's impossible. Or at least that's what Troye thinks, considering he's given up on even trying to make it work. He's different, people shun different. People hate different. And it's better to go under the radar, to be nothing, than to be hated. Right? Tyler, on the other hand, has taken a different approach to a similar problem. No, he can't 'read minds', but he does have a part of himself he doesn't want a soul to know about. He's quarterback, every girl's dream guy, an academic mastermind, and he's also gay. He's seen how different kids get treated, hell, he's been the one to treat them that way before. Why on Earth would he ever wish that on himself? No, it's easier to hide, to be someone you're not, than to be hated. Right?

One boy, an all-night coffee shop, a remarkable ability, and a stranger. Dan is an average boy with a job and a penchant for drawing anime until one day he wakes up and finds that everything has gone incredibly wrong. All around him, people suddenly have words floating above their heads. Being able to see the messages make him feel like he's going mad, but trying to find out their meaning sinks him into a deep unyielding depression. Determined to not live a life of isolation despite the floating words, he starts venturing out at night to the 24-hour coffee shop across the street. Here, he runs into a stranger who just may hold the key to getting his life back.

Meet Sherlock Holmes- a 15 year old sociopath; arrogant, tactless, rejected, but enjoys a life of solitude and deducing. Meet John Watson- a 15 year old footballer; quiet, popular, caring, but endures a life of isolation and oppression. A transfer from a state school, John pushes open the door of Room 22 to find the most crucial part of his life he never knew existed; a teenage boy with the mind of a philosopher, who just so happens to be able to precisely analyse every detail of John's life, whilst being able to piss everyone else off at the exact same time.

It all started with a trip. Sherlock had been acting weird, and everyone thought he was just stressed, so he and John go on a trip to Fiji. Yet, what was supposed to be a relaxing vacation from the stresses of detective work only opened the door for much more stress and confusion when John begins to have strange feelings around his colleague, Sherlock Holmes. And Sherlock is still acting strange.

This is my take on the first two acts of Romeo + Juliet, with Phil as Romeo and Dan as Juliet. As I'm sure you've already figured out, this isn't the traditional telling! It's inspired by the Leo/Claire version of the movie, but with a few twists of my own! I've received a lot of requests for more Dan and Phil, so here it is!
