This is how the story begins, a story about one single woman who ditched her full-time corporate job that was turning her into a zombie, and who ditched the expectations of her conservative Indian parents to find a nice boy and get married, all so she could move to Paris for six months to write her next book (the next book is for the Year of the Chick series, and the first published book along with some of the second are posted here on Wattpad: ( http://www.wattpad.com/user/romimoondi ). This is, in fact, the story of someone who has not only never been to Paris before, but who's never even been to Europe before! That person is me, and here, twice a week, in this serialized memoir with a chick-lit kind of feel, I'll let you in on all my adventures, experiences, highs and lows.

Reya didn't imagine herself leaving her advertising job for a start-up non-profit by her mid-twenties, but she also didn't expect a sudden breakup with her college boyfriend. She seriously needs to shake things up, and what better way to do that than a holiday in Paris? New time zone, lost luggage, and her best friend thousands of miles away...the glossy guidebooks of Paris start to seem like an out-of-reach fantasy. Things turn around at Paris's most famous department store, when Reya meets an elderly French lady who needs a little help. From there an unlikely friendship with Madame Billeaux begins, complete with her charming grandson Francois. As Reya's growing attraction to Francois gets harder and harder to deny, her escape to Paris will turn into a full-blown adventure...

This story is being adapted from a television script I wrote. I'm a big "Sex and the City" fan, but I've always kind of wondered what the show would be like if they didn't have that perfect "best friend crew." I mean...how likely is it that we'll always have three best friends to discuss every problem and thought with? It kind of made me think of a more...awkward reality, leading me to a series where: friends enter different life stages and drift apart, your go-to gal is an elderly lady, and you're actively seeking new pals via meetup.com. And then there's the part where you're a writer haunted by your last big love, and constantly clinging to nostalgia (good luck to our main character on the dating scene!). I welcome you to join me on this awkward, relatable, and sometimes crazy adventure, which proves that finding love is never easy, and include lots of dialogue that will hopefully be quotable and fun! Each "episode" will consist of 4 or 5 Wattpad parts, and if people want to see more I'll write more.
