Poetry: in which my heart bleeds ink.

It hit me last night how true this is for me in my life. I just had to write a poem about it. :)

This poem is about a friend whom I was very close to until we fell apart.

So I wrote this thinking about when I was diagnosed with cancer and what I felt during the time and how I got through it. I was only 9 at time when I was diagnosed with cancer. It will be exactly 8 years this year on December 5 that I was declared cancer free. Your past does not define who you are. It is only a part of you.
