"He's staring at you," my sister whispered, wide-eyed. Now that I realised, I could feel someone's eyes burning the back of my head and as I turned around to see what my sister was talking about and my jaw immediately dropped whilst a cold shiver ran up my spine at the sight of the school's dangerous, certified bad boy. I shrugged nervously and turned around to face my sister. "Maybe he's just looking at what I'm wearing." The outfit was pretty cute, hands down. "But he never stares at anyone. He has only given them a cold stare that lasts for at least two-seconds." Oh hell no.

{#1 in teenagers} {#2 in fiction} {#2 in popular} "You better not tell anyone about this." "Aw why not? I'm sure your fandom of desperate girls would love to know that their precious prince charming needs a babysitter." I smile innocently back at his death glare. "I'm serious, nerd. I could make your life hell." ------------------------------------------------------------ Marnie Jones is an ordinary 11th grader. Her only intentions are to get good grades and save money for college with her babysitting job. Everything is going to plan. Until she gets a job babysitting the high school bad boy, Zeke Blakely. The two come from complete different social groups, and Marnie automatically hates Zeke and his big ego and cocky attitude. He's a player. He's dangerous. He's reckless. She's safe with an overthinking problem. As the two are seen hanging around school together, attention gets drawn to Marnie. Which she hates. But she also catches the eye of a handsome jock, too. And why, you ask, does a 17 year old boy need a babysitter? You'll have to read to find out. WARNING: contains vulgar language and mature scenes.

PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THIS IS A FIRST DRAFT AND THERE ARE GRAMMAR MISTAKES I pushed at his chest, but it was useless. He stayed, his arms caging me in. "Anastasia," he hummed against my ear, my name rolling off his tongue. "I know you want me just as bad as I want you." I couldn't deny it anymore, I was his. ~>~ A romance novel Started: 11/28/2017 Finished : 03/04/2018 Highest Ranking: #96 12.27.2017

Ranked #1 in Teen Fiction & Completed on 05/11/2017 ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ''Whatever you're thinking of doing right now. It's not a good idea,'' I hardly said, trying not to look at his lips. His close proximity seemed to be enough for my ability to breathe to say "Oh hell no. I'm out." "Is that so?" He whispered, "And why is that?'' "You're my cousin's enemy. There are rules. We can't do this.'' I stuttered, secretly trying to convince myself. I stepped back. He stepped closer. He knew I couldn't resist for long. "Well, I'm a bad boy.'' Haze started kissing my neck softly. How could something so wrong feel so right? My skin was on fire everywhere he laid his lips. It took everything I had not to cup his face and finally give in. He then proceeded to whisper something against my skin. "And you know what bad boys do?" I knew there would be no going back. ❝They break the rules❞ ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ When 17-year-old Winter Kingston has to move to America to live with her aunt and cousins, she has no idea what awaits her. When Stella and her younger brother, Tom, move to their new London home, they become mystified by the disappearances of Harry, their elderly neighbour's small dog. Where does he go? And why does he keep reappearing wet-through? Their quest to solve the riddle over the summer holidays leads to a boat buried under a grassy mound - and a tunnel that takes them to a secret lake. Soon they discover that they have travelled back in time to their home and the children living there 100 years earlier. Here they make both friends and enemies, and uncover startling connections between the past and present. The Secret Lake has been described as a modern-day Enid Blyton or Tom's Midnight Garden and compared in atmosphere with The Secret Garden. I'll be posting more of the early chapters over the next couple of weeks. If you can't wait, you can order it online in print or for Kindle/Phone/Tablet - just search Karen Inglis or The Secret Lake :) To find out about the inspiration for The Secret Lake check out my YouTube chat here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kW8f2nymq4Y I hope you'll enjoy :)
