Maddie and Mackenzie are adults and are married. Maddie is married to Gino Cosculleula and Mackenzie is married to Johnny Orlando. Mackenzie is pregnant and Johnny is in the military. When he is deployed he ends up getting shot and dies which leaves Mackenzie alone. Gino, Maddie's husband, dies the next week and Maddie is left alone.
