Gerard found love in the form of vodka bottles and pill bottles and staying up too late with strangers. Frank found hope in the boy with messy black hair and who smelled like whiskey. And something went right when the two met.

Gerard Way has wanted to be a dad ever since he was a kid but as he gets older he fears he might not be able to and tries to adopt. Unfortunately, they won't let him because he's a single dad so instead him and his best friend devise a scheme to get Gerard a child.

To Frank, it felt like every thing he did needed to be perfect. He needed to be perfect. Everything had an order, and a way to do it, and it needed to stay in that order and be done that way. Everything in his life needed to be the best it possibly could be, he would not, he could not settle for less...
