"There's always light at the end of the tunnel, you just have to hold onto even the flimsiest rays of hope." _Aishatuh M Aisha Humaira, an ardent and sassy young lady aspires to become a journalist. She's a great humanitarian who believes that issues like a society's judgemental tendencies, religious conflicts and the likes of them shouldn't be a country's day to day routine, but issues that should only be read about in history books of past generations. However, growing up in the northern part of Nigeria seems much big of a challenge for her to be able to change the mentality some people posess, of journalism being an improper course of study to any girl brought up in a modest arewa home. With an unsupportive family and a judgemental society, can she achieve her ultimate goal agaisnt all odds by becoming a journalist? When her world comes crashing down in the process with a dream that seems too far from reach, will she relinquish or stand on her ground? Find out on this rollercoaster journey where life isn't just a bed full of roses but full of thorns as well, capable of pricking those determined to come out of it as winners. Copyright © 2019. All rights reserved. FALAK: In a village where every girl must marry at the age of fifteen, a girl finds herself in a challenging situation, as no one is willing to marry her due to reasons unknown to her and her father. Her stepmother made sure to flaunt and taunt her at every chance, showcasing her daughters' husbands and children. Despite this, she remained undeterred, focusing on studying for her WAEC exams, hoping to find a way to escape to university. At seventeen, she is in grade 11 and faced with the decision to pay for the WAEC exams if they have the money or wait another year if they don't. The school fees are free, which is why she's still attending. Life doesn't always grant one's desires, and she eventually dropped out when her father stated he couldn't afford to pay for her WAEC, forcing her to abandon her dreams. SHADDAD: In a palace where he must learn the etiquettes of being the next king and is next in line to the throne of Kano state, Shaddad faces immense expectations. He has been groomed on how to be a king and act accordingly. He has absorbed these teachings and conforms to people's expectations. At the age of twenty-seven, he holds a bachelor's degree in business, preparing to manage the family business before ascending the throne. Yet, that's not all; he is also a skilled cardiologist. Despite possessing status, looks, fame, intelligence, and wealth, he remains indifferent to the allure of a lavish lifestyle. The world of fame only brings him pain, though he does not complain, having nothing to lament. People perceive him as having a disorder due to his limited interactions. What transpires when the vivacious Falak encounters the stoic Shaddad? Can she break through his emotional barriers, or will she be overwhelmed? Will she get a glimpse of his true self, or will she remain lost in the darkness? Will her unconventional love for him deepen, or will it forever remain brash? No plagiarizing of this book! Aishatu.

Same religion, different ethnicity! This story practically revolves around the relationship between two culturally different persons, and the challenges they faced in getting the approval of their parents in their inter-tribal marriage. •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• Manal Usman is 21 years old and has just finished her NYSC program. She's the daughter of Usman Maidoki, the district head of Unguwan Doki. Her father is widely known for his tribalism and prejudice, thus no one in their family is allowed to marry someone outside their ethnicity, Hausa. Idris Abdulmalik is a 28-year-old Pharmacist working with one of the public hospitals in Kano. His mother is Igala from Kogi State and his father is Nupe from Niger State. They have been living in Kano for nearly two decades now... •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• This is outrightly not a true life story but a product of my own imagination. Hence, any resemblance to an actual event is a mere coincidence. However, you should know that the locales are a combination of reality and whims. Read more by adding this book to your library. Thank you. Dedicated to Haulat S. Adamu (Rest In Peace)
