A dark figure haunts her steps. Even as Luimëníssë settles into her husband's mountainous fortress at the Pass of Aglon, the blank spaces in her memory become more frequent. Frightened by these instances and driven by a coming change in their lives, she seeks the counsel of Queen Melian in Doriath where her brother Vantaro protects the ancient woods as a march warden. Luimëníssë is warned the fragile happiness that she and her husband have cultivated can only last for so long. For the Enemy is gaining strength once again. And an ancient oath sworn across the sea will never release Curufin from it's greedy clutches. Not as long as the silmarils exist. All these images are played back in dreams to Ivy McKee who, in the sweltering summer of 1925 in New York City, has agreed to become an informant against her charismatic employer who is in league with the mob. But there is more at stake than her life. The enigmatic Chauffeur warns her that perhaps her very soul is at risk should she get any closer than necessary to Smith. Ivy soon wonders if she is willing to pay that price.

Perhaps the best of tales are the ones that might have been. The ones that delve into the depths of lore and grasp something unexpected, something that should've remained hidden for all time. Perhaps the tales left unexplored are the ones that need to be told the most. "I'm enchanted! I don't think I have read another story quite like this that is this authentically elvish... It is a true treasure on here!" ~Aiwren "I'm enjoying this! Your style is very fitting. Well done!" ~ EpicRedpenn "Wonderfully penned. I cannot express how much I love your work, it's like reading an undiscovered chapter of Tolkien, even. I can't wait for more!" ~Dreamescape07 "Indeed, most tales of Middle Earth do not come from an Elf's eyes. Yes, they do see all, and that is the pity of it. If you look into an elf's eyes, you will see Time itself. Pools of memory, lakes of sorrow and springs of joy. The elves are where sorrow and joy meet. Perhaps that is why they are so intriguing. (INDEFINITE HIATUS) As far as Morifinwë Carnistir was concerned, release was supposed to be impossible. That was what he'd been told, what he'd nearly taken for granted, since the moment he entered those dark Halls. His crimes, his oath, the elves he killed in his struggles, served as clear enough reason for that sentence. And Caranthir had done nothing to beg for pardon. Third Age now, they were saying. What did he care? And the war that raged outside, the work of a returning Sauron, wasn't important to dead souls. Apparently, the Valar had other ideas. This is the tale of the War of the Ring, and how it all deteriorated into chaos when an unplanned visitor swooped in against all odds, changing history as it was written, and perhaps causing a bit too much drama for these newer, higher times. (This fic is currently on a forever hiatus, BUT you can find a sequel fic written by the amazing @HaltandCrowley13 ! Check out their page for the continuation!!!)
