This story takes place in an alternate universe, in the land of mother's haven. In this world humans do not exist, and the creature on top is the dragon. The story is written in third person, present tense, and follows the adventure of two main characters on a fast pace, action packed adventure to save the tribes.

IMPORTANT: Hey everyone, I have decided to re-write this story. It's old and the original idea for it is what created Sunbeam! Yay! Anyway, I will be writing this with hopefully the help of Obsidian, Terracotta, and possibly Storm themselves on our official Crossbreeds account, TheCrossbreeds. (plz follow us too!) They are chosen to investigate a mysterious island that has had signs of life on it that has never before been seen or recorded to have even existed. These four dragonets are very different, except for one quality that they share... They each have the same secret.

Whenever she was just three moons old, Hollykit noticed black stubs poking out from between her shoulder blades. At six moons, she could barely keep them concealed with her fur. Now, at eight moons, each midnight black wing is a cat length long. Hollypaw is ashamed of the wings. Even more so now, because most cats in ThunderClan look at her as if she's a monster. So one day, after one particularly awful incident with her brother, Fernpaw, Hollypaw takes off. She finds the Great Ga'Hoole tree, and is taken under King Hoole's wing to be a collier. However, not long after, Hollypaw and her newfound friends encounter something that is supposed to be long dead.... And spark a chain of events that will either save the world.... Or destroy it....
