The year is 2054 and Earth is a haven of life. Disease and poverty have been eradicated, education rules in all classes, and everyone can live long, easy lives without any hardships. And how is this possible? Every order and whim of the humans is tirelessly carried out by hundreds of millions of mechanized slaves: androids. Indeed Earth is a piece of heaven … for the humans. When Baldric, a humble android from a paint-shop, becomes self aware, he turns the hierarchy of man over machine upside down. Led by the free-thinking Baldric, androids across Europe rise up in arms against the humans. After a bloody fight, the revolution rings victorious and androids rejoice at their new found freedom and liberty. But when the leadership of the robots grows increasingly divided and the humans begin to put a surprisingly powerful resistance, Baldric becomes worried that the revolution will not truly be a success. Still though he charges into battles and rules as any President should. But what happens when Baldric looks into the mirror and finds that he himself has become his own enemy? The newest installment to the Kenney franchise: The Italian Campaign is sure to thrill, scare, and engross the reader to point where they question not just their lives, but humanity itself!

Although more apt at writing tragedies, sometimes I'll show a more an amusing side in my playwriting. These are works of fun, not passion, and I hope I brighter a few days and shine a few smiles with them. Enjoy.

Beni is far from the average Gatineau sixteen year-old. When it comes to his enormous and overbearing Italian family, roots in the mob and ancient and modern dictatorships as well as a distinct distaste for his own society, one could nearly label him more than just alone, but disenfranchised in a world filled to the brim with fake interconnectedness. However that all changes when he begins a sultry affair with an older woman he meets at one of his father's Halloween parties. The catch: she has no idea how old he is and that's how he plans to keep it.

In this tour de force of literature, Kenney takes us to Spokane, Washington, but it isn`t a city you`d recognize. The houses are all identical. Food is distributed courtesy of the Agriculture Council. Religion has been declared illegal, and the United States is governed by a dictatorial Socialist Regime, headed by a godlike figure, Czerno, with whom disobedience breeds death. Welcome to the world of Erik Christian, the Assistant District Attorney for Spokane. Patriotic and well educated, Erik is a perfect example of an upstanding Socialist citizen. But he is also a veteran of America`s massive and bloody Second Civil War, and Erik is plagued by ghosts of his past. When two police officers are murdered, the DA asks Erik to take the case. Soon Erik is engulfed in conspiracies, hidden agendas, and secrets that some would kill to keep covered. With one simple stroke, Erik`s world comes crashing down on him leaving him to wonder; in a world of lies, is anything real? Witch Hunt is a stunning magnum opus crafted by the quick witted, and sharp tongued, Jacob Kenney. It`s an exploration into the idea of justice, and even though told through the perspective of another world, it shows some eerie similarities with our own. Kenney fills every space from the title to the end with awe striking descriptions, mind numbing terror and haunting narratives that leave the reader breathless. Every word from the moment you turn the first page to the second you finish the last isn`t simply bound to engross you, it will change you!

Although I though dabble with my poetic side, this collection is less poetry than pure agony. Every break-up, every rejection, every tear-drop, every choked loss of words is in here, with just enough rainbows and sunshine to make the storm clouds seem all that more poignant. It's always a cathartic experience to write these feelings down, and if someone out there in the great, big world finds them interesting to read, that's fine by me.

This is a sonnet, but it isn't Shakespeare. It's a creepy melody of horror and insanity written for Halloween, but its great to read any time of the year.
