What if we saw from the perspective of the Anthropologist in Jeff VanderMeer's Annihilation (book, not the movie)? What if there were an added scene between Henry Dashwood's conversation with John Dashwood and Fanny's move-in to show further character development in Jane Austen's Sense and Sensibility? What if JK Rowling's Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone were set in Australia? This is a compilation of added scenes or AUs I wrote but have no idea where to put (spoilers of course). Disclaimer: Annihilation belongs to Jeff VanderMeer. Sense and Sensibility is within the public domain; however, I will still note that it originally belonged to Jane Austen. Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone belongs to JK Rowling. Photo of a bumblebee by me, Kelsey Foot

"Where do you begin if you want to investigate a murder, Bennett?" She asked, the phone pressed against her ears. He didn't ask questions, "The autopsy." * * * The summer before senior year turns out to be everything Sheri never expected when a groom turns up dead at the dress rehearsal for his wedding. Submerged into a dysfunctional world of family secrets and a demanding love triangle, one thing is as clear as day; the killer is walking the same halls as she and lurking in the dark, waiting and watching. Her undoing however would be the one thing she never saw coming, the greatest force of all; Love. * * * Landon Carmichael: he's a douchebag with abandonment issues. choleric 90% of the time but watch out for the tongue of this son of the devil when his sanguine 10% surfaces. perhaps he's the most dangerous in this story. Sheri Abbah: she's insecure and hopelessly codependent. she has only ever been sure of one thing: her feelings for him but that's about to be put to the test. content warning: suicidal thoughts, emotional/psychological issues, family dysfunction, possible trauma. Inspired by O Superman by Laurie Anderson and how I imagine it. A girl goes to her school on a Wednesday morning but something unexpected happens when she comes back home. Read the book to find out. Disclaimer. I made the genre of this book thriller because of the main idea but if you find the book comedic its not your fault. The book starts if comedic and progressively gets more of a thriller/horror story.

In a world, where showing emotion is a dangerous weakness, love becomes the only beacon of hope. No one noticed exactly when people began to fall victim to the broken life of monotony, but by the time humanity realized that witnessing strong emotion triggered violence in the infected, it was too late. Evelyn Li is not a fan of risk. Confined to the safety of an underground bunker for the past two years, when Evie stumbles upon a radio broadcast hosted by a mysterious boy with a sharp tongue and an impressive record collection, she's inspired to embark on a mission fuelled by the belief that her family might still be out there (and definitely not because she's desperate to finally meet the boy whose voice has been her sole companion since the darkness descended). Jonathan Johnson is not an optimist and definitely not a romantic. He wasn't at all surprised when the world ended or even when the Soulless took over the streets. With the weight of rising tensions in the colonies, an absentee father, and heart-breaking tragedy resting on his shoulders, Jonathan would much rather escape into his record collection and secret radio broadcast than deal with the general bleakness of life in the apocalypse. As he is reluctantly roped into Evie's search for links to her past, Jonathan begins to wonder if he can ever truly escape his. Together, the unlikely pair must navigate the treacherous landscapes of both the unforgiving world around them and the complicated emotions within. Will their connection withstand the trials of a world consumed by darkness, or will it become just another casualty of the apocalypse?

*Note: This book is currently discontinued. At this time, I am re-writing it. When I have enough chapters edited and to my liking, I will start posting them on a schedule starting at the end of the discontinued chapters or I'll make a separate book for the new version. If you have questions about, don't hesitate to ask. The roof crashed down at the speed of lightning, crushing me under the table as I gasped for air. My mind scrambling to process what had happened as I felt rubble falling around me, surrounding me in darkness. I reached up, my arm stinging as I hit the hard wood table over me, which was keeping the rubble off me, miraculously. I wiped my forehead, sweat, and probably blood dripping down my arm and side of head as I reached for a nearby rock, trying to push on it, hoping that it might help me out of this disaster. "Mom? Betty?" I called, hoping for a response, only to get none. I didn't even get the slightest whimper from any of them. What the heck happened? "Mom?! Betty?!" I screamed this time, trying to push myself up onto my back, my leg killing me so much that I had to give up. I laid back down on the ground, placing my hand on the bottom of the table; anger, fear, confusion getting the best of me. I screamed as I banged my fists on the wood table. "MOM? BETTY?" Nothing. I was ready to bang on the wood again, but I flinched back when I heard the sound of moving rubble. Whoever it is was almost near where I was, and ... moving quickly. So, there's no possible way that it was a human. It would take hundreds do men to lift these boulders, but whoever this person is, is stronger than anyone I would kn- My thoughts froze as I watched something large wrap around the edges of the table, lifting it up; my eyes widening as I came face to face with the largest creature known to mankind. A giant. (This is my book from my own brain. These are my own characters based off my family members. Please do not steal it.)
